Marianna Sargsyan is a very dedicated, hard working, honest person who spares no effort in contributing to cultural advancement of city of Glendale , Burbank as well as greater Los Angeles area. She is well accomplished, Singer, Poet, Composer, Educator, TV host and a community event organizer. I have listed below some of her accomplishments. She has numerous articles written about her and her work in many newspapers. A Big Dream Benefit Concert – was organized by Mrs. Marianna Sargsyan and took place at Stars on Brand on October 10h, 2016. She always dreamed of organizing a concert and sharing her talent with her audience, and using the proceeds to help the orphan children of Armenia. That opportunity came in November 10, 2016 at Stars on brand. The proceeds from the concert were hand delivered to Armenia by Marianna in summer of 2017. She used the money to put a big smile on faces of orphans by hieing private bus and taking the children from the orphanage to a theme park. Next, they took another private bus to a ponchik factory, where they enjoyed Armenia ponchiks and ice cream. Finally, they all got gift bags full of toys and goodies. Miss & Mister World USA beauty pageant

Marianna is the Vice President of Miss & Mister World Children's beauty pageant that has been held every Summer in Glendale for the last 5 years. The pageant has grown every year. This is a children's beauty pagent for kids between the ages of 3 -12. It is designed to give the children confidence, teach them how to walk on stage and how to carry themselves on stage. Most importantly it is lots of fun for the kids. Marianna holds practices every Saturdays and Sundays for 2-3 months before the children are ready for the pageant. Its a beautiful event full of excitement and beauty. Children get to enjoy private limo ride .they also have a red carpet event before the show and they all get nominated for prizes, Medals, certificates, crowns,trophies etc The pageants have taken place at the Stars Theater on Brand since inception. This year the event will take place on March 24 2018 at Stars on brand which is the 5th annual Miss & Mister World USA. Granada Hills Holiday Parade- Marianna was once at the Granada Hills Holiday parade and she loved it. She noticed there were lots of participants in the parade representing different cultures. She was upset that no one was representing the Armenian Culture at the parade even though lots of Armenians lived in Granada Hills. She made a promise then and there that the following year, there would be a group representing Armenian culture at the next Granada Hills Holiday Parade. She kept her word and in 2015, she created her group and named it Proud Armenians. For the first time ever, she and a group of Armenian Dancers in traditional Armenian clothes represented Armenian Culture at the parade. That year, the Proud Armenians entry won 3rd place trophy from the judges. Proud Armenians were part of the Granada Hills parade since then. Multicultural Events at School: Every year

Castlebay Lane Charter puts on a Multicultural day show. When Marianna attended the first one, she noticed that Armenian culture was not represented. Being a proud Armenian American, She worked with the principal to make sure from the following year on, there would be an Armenian Dance at the Multicultural day. Once she had the approval of the principal of the school, she set up an after school enrichment class at the school, where parents enrolled their kids in an Armenian Dance class. She hired a dance instructor and made sure that the kids were ready for the show the next year. Needless to say, the kids shined during the next multicultural day. It was yet another successful event However, Marianna did not stop there. Seeing the need for Armenian Language class, she also started offering Armenian language classes as after school enrichment classes. That too was a success. Marianna has been teaching Armenian Language class for the last 10 years. Children love her positive and fun personality and enjoy her classes.

More About Marianna... Colors of life (Kyanqi Yerangner)- Marianna published her first book of poems in 2016 in the city of Glendale. It is comprised of 27poems that were written by Marianna in 2015. She was inspired by beauty of life, events that were happening around her and by her Armenian roots. Her poems are all about positive thinking about life and helping people get the most out of this priceless life. She encourages people to live and enjoy life. She wrote more poems after she published her book . All her poems are on Youtube where she recites them all. She also composed tree songs in Armenian; Music and lyrics by Mariiann Sargsyan , Her “Tariner “song premire was on her cocert day which she sang beautifuly. Her “Yerevan “song will be perfomed live for the fist time by her durin 5th annual Miss & Mister World USA event. Community Event Organizer - Over the last 11 years, Marianna has been regularly organizing Mothers day events . Every year, on Mothers day, many residents of Glendale, treat their mothers to a beautiful event organized by Marianna. For some, it has become a family tradition to spend mothers day at this event with Marianna. During each event Marianna treated her guests with an outstanding song performance which left her guests impressed. This year will be the 11th annual Mothers day even on May 12th. 2024. In Addition, Marianna has been organizing a Valentine’s Dance and Show, every year since 2015, where members of the Glendale community have the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful dinner while watching a beautiful Argentine Tango show. Then they dance the night away and listen to performances by Marianna. Marianna is not a big fan of Halloween. She does not like the scary costumes. To create a not so scary event for the children, Marianna decided to organize an annual Fantasy Creation Costume party right around Halloween and to allow moms and children to dress up and have fun wearing beautiful costumes. The only requirement to participate was a costume that is not scary. Prince and Princess costumes became very popular among the participants. This too has become an annual Glendale tradition. Many children around the world have memorized her poems and recited during public events. In addition her students also recite her poems and sing her songs. During covid lockdown she opened a YouTube channel with her 12 years old daughter. The channel is to teach adults and children how to cook delicious homemade food. The have recorded over 150 educational cooking videos.
